Fall Toast Post
In this post I combined amazing fall recipes with a classic piece of toast to make three fall toasts. With that in mind, I decided to call it a toasts post! Down below I have provided the recipes for each toast. In each of these recipes I used sourdough bread, but you can use whatever kind of bread you want. Also keep in mind that you can substitute any of these ingredients with either the ingredients you have readily available or your favorite ingredients in general. I added some suggested substitutions, but you can get creative and do whatever you please.
The first toast I wanted to share is savory and includes so many amazing textures and flavors. This toast is super simple to make but will definitely Ellavate your palate with the complex flavor of the glossy balsamic, the delicate prosciutto, and the salty Pecorino.
Ingredients:
Your favorite bread
Pecorino Romano (you could use Parmesan, Gouda, Cheddar, etc.)
Prosciutto De Parma (you could use salami, turkey, etc.)
Arugula
Drizzle of balsamic and olive oil
Dash of salt
Recipe:
Toast your bread
Add your cheese and put your toast in the broiler until the cheese gets melty and bubbly
Add your toppings and enjoy!
Who doesn’t love a good avocado toast, am I right? The next toast isn’t just a classic avocado toast, I Ellavated it with fall ingredients and nutrients. The combination of the creamy avocado and the acidic lemon go perfectly with the crunch from the microgreens and the zing from the pomegranates. This toast is sure to leave you satisfied with its’ interesting mix of flavors and textyres.
Ingredients:
Your favorite bread
Avocado
Lemon
Microgreens
Pomegranates
Salt
Recipe:
Toast your bread
In a bowl mash the avocado and lemon with a fork and then add salt
Spread the avocado mash onto the toast and add the microgreens and pomegranates
Eat!
Lastly, I wanted to make a breakfast inspired toast that is sweet and savory. There are countless times in the morning when I can’t choose between a sweet or a savory option. With this toast you can have the best of both worlds! I combined French toast with an egg sandwich to make the ultimate combo of a maple bacon French toast egg sandwich. What more could you ask for on a beautiful fall morning? When you taste this maple bacon you won’t be able to stop a smile from popping up on your face.
Ingredients:
French toast (I made mine with the sourdough bread!)
Sharp cheddar or any cheese
Brown sugar, maple bacon
An egg
Maple syrup
Recipe:
Once you make your French toast, it’s pretty self-explanatory. All you have to do is assemble and enjoy!
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to make your fall more festive through food! Food doesn’t have to be basic, Ellavate it.
